Those migration established new ruling class in this area. Aryans who came here wrote Vedas, who are both religious and historical source for this period.

  4. The excavations revealed that the Harappan civilization decline occurred between 1800 BC to 1700 BC. The Aryans were the next settlers of the area.

    Around 1200 BC a rigid caste system was developed in India. Hindus were divided into four different social groups or varnas according to their roles and skills:

    The intellectual and spiritual leaders belonged to  Brahmin  caste; the public servants belonged to Kshatriyas caste; producers were in the Kshatriyas group; laborers with no skill were in the Shudras group.

    As for the Bhagavad Gita was written between 400 BC and 200 AD. It is said to be written by a man named Vyasa. It includes 700 verses in Sanskrit and it’s part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
