     The correct answer is :  Texas protected the basic rights of citizens with the Declaration of Rights of the Constitution of Texas and the United States.

    Explanation:  Texas thus protected rights such as: Freedom of expression, freedom of the press and religious freedom. Press freedom helped them improve decision making because they kept complete information. The Texas constitution establishes controls and balances between the three branches of government. The declaration of Texas rights is very important because it guarantees citizens that no rights can be removed.
