    Step-by-step explanation: To write a percent as a fraction in lowest terms, first remember that a percent is a ratio that compares a number to 100. In this example, 76% can be written as the ratio 76 to 100 or [tex]\frac{76}{100}[/tex] which is in fraction form. Notice however that [tex]\frac{76}{100}[/tex] is not in lowest terms so we need to divide both the numerator and denominator by the greatest common factor of 76 and 100 which is 4.

    76 ÷ 4 = 19

    100 ÷ 4 = 25

    Therefore, 76% can be written as the fraction [tex]\frac{19}{25}[/tex]
