    Wearth = 41202 N

    m = 4200 kg

    less than

    Wmoon=6887 N

    Explanation:

    Mass on earth = 4200

    weight on earth = mass * acceleration due to gravity on earth

    = 4200 * 9.81

    = 41202N

    acceleration due to gravity on the moon = 1/6*acceleration due to gravity on earth

    = 9.81 / 6

    = 1.635 m/s²

    mass of the lunar landing module on the moon = mass of the lunar landing module on the earth = 4,200 kg.

    The weight of the lunar landing module on the moon is less than its weight on Earth.

    weight on moon = mass * acceleration due to gravity on moon

    = 4200 * 1.635

    = 6887 N

    The lunar landing module’s weight on Earth = 41160 N

    The mass of the lunar landing module on the moon = 4200 kg  less than

    Weight of lunar landing module on Moon = 6858 N

    Explanation:

    Mass of lunar landing module on earth = 4200 Kg

    Weight of lunar landing module on Earth

       = mass × acceleration due to gravity on earth

       = [tex]4200 \times 9.8[/tex]

      = 41160 N

    Acceleration due to gravity on the moon

    = [tex]\frac {1} {6}[/tex]× acceleration due to gravity on earth

    = [tex]\frac {1} {6}[/tex]× 9.8

     = 1.633 m/s²

    Mass of the lunar landing module on the moon = Mass of the lunar landing module on the earth = 4,200 kg.

    The weight of the lunar landing module on the moon is less than it's weight on Earth.

    Weight on moon = Mass × acceleration due to gravity on moon

                                 = 4200 × 1.633

    Weight on moon = 6858 N

    Explanation:

    Given parameters:

    Mass of lunar landing module  = 4200kg

    Acceleration due to gravity on moon = [tex]\frac{1}{6}[/tex] of earth's gravity

    Solving:

    Mass is the amount of matter in a substance.

    Weight is the vertical force on an object exerted by acceleration due to gravity on a given mass.

                  Weight  = mass x acceleration due to gravity

    Mass is the same everywhere but weight varies with gravity

    What is the lunar landing module’s weight on Earth?

    The weight of the landing module on earth;

             Weight  = mass x acceleration due to gravity

                            = 4200 x 9.8

                             = 41160N

    What is the mass of the lunar landing module on the moon

    On the moon;

                 Weight  = mass x  [tex]\frac{1}{6}[/tex] of earth's gravity

                               = 4200 x [tex]\frac{1}{6}[/tex]  x 9.8

                               = 6680N

    The weight of the lunar landing module on the moon is its weight on Earth.

    No. The weight will be lesser on the moon because the pull of gravity is lower.

    The calculated weight of the lunar landing module on the moon is N

    6680N
