In this particular scene, Bilbo uses the ring to distract the spiders so he can rescue the dwarves. His traits were ownership of the ring and his clever mind. He was an ordinary hobbit but he achieved big things this way.

I believe the answer is D. He is assertive without being rude. It will get his point across while still being friendly with his employees.
    Hope this helps!

The correct answer is D. Aggressive

    Explanation:

Communication is the exchange of information between different participants, but this exchange does not always occur in the same way, because of this communication is often classified in different styles such as passive, aggressive and assertive. In the case of aggressive communication, this occurs when a speaker does not consider other participants' opinions and points of view but aims at imposing his/her opinion, also in this type of communication the speaker uses rude language and violates the right of others to participate.

This clearly occurs in the case of Mr. Smithen because he aims at communication the staff they need to improve but instead of communicating this in an assertive way (clear, honest and respectful communication) he imposes his point of view and uses language such as "you guys are really messy" and "I don’t care what you have to say" that show he does not allow the staff to participate in the process of communication and uses rude language. Therefore, the type of communication style Mr. Smithers use is aggressive.

    D.
Mr. Smithers allowed Paulina to finish her explanation before he said, "Thank you, Paulina, for your explanation. Perhaps we can all discuss a better way to close the shop so that it's not as time-consuming yet still neat. What are your ideas?"

    Option D: aggressive.

To be assertive he must not either desqualify the persons by telling they are a messy or threatening with losing their employments.

To be assertive he should have asked the empolyees to review the procedures, explain the failures and propose ways to reach the goals.
