    Repression

Explanation: According to the theory of Freud, repression is defined as the situation when an individual is facing painful, anxious and extremely sad memories, thoughts etc that stays in the unconscious mind and results in coming out of conscious mind . These feelings can occur due to painful memories during past time, agressive incidents etc.

Sally is also facing repression because of the violent incident happened with her in the past time that result in the death of family members. Thus, she gets flashbacks and nightmares from the unconscious memory .

If Sally has nightmares and flashbacks due to a trauma she faced, this is known as post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

    Additional information:
Post traumatic stress disorder is a disorder that causes a victim who has experienced traumatic event, to experience flashbacks or anxiety of attacks of that scenario. PTSD is present when a victim has not yet fully recovered from the incident that took place in his or her life time.
