    27.3 degrees

    cos x = 16/18

    x = arccos(16/18)

    x = 27.3 degrees

    3/5

    step-by-step explanation:

    double number line is not a standard concept, so it must have been defined in your textbook. assume top line is numerator.

    Given that:

    (x+2)(2x-5)=54

    We have:
    [tex]2x^2-x-64=0[/tex]

    Using the quadratic formula, this is approximately 5.66, so rounded to the nearest whole number, our answer is 6.

    Here the angle is given as 55°

    With respect to 55°,

    8.9 cm is the opposite side

    x cm is the adjacent side.

    The trigonometric ratio associating these sides is tan

    [tex]tan\theta=\frac{Opposite}{Adjacent}[/tex]

    Substituting the values we get

    [tex]\frac{8.9}{x}=tan55^{o}[/tex]

    Multiplying both sides by x we get

    [tex]8.9=xtan55^{o}[/tex]

    Dividing by tan55° on both sides

    [tex]\frac{8.9}{tan55^{o} } =x[/tex]

    So we get

    [tex]x=6.2[/tex] cm

    Option a) is the right answer.

    The trigonometry ratio that we shall use to solve the question will be:
    tan θ=opposite/adjacent
    where:
    opposite=8.9 cm
    adjacent =x cm
    θ=55°
    plugging the values and simplifying we obtain:
    tan 55=8.9/x
    thus
    x=8.9/tan55
    x=6.23 cm~6.2 cm
    A

    Value of x is 30°

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Step 1: Find value of x by using the trigonometric ratio cosine of x. Here, given that adjacent side is 16 and hypotenuse is 18

    cos x° = adjacent side/hypotenuse = 16/18 = 8/9

    x° = cos inverse(8/9) = 27.12° = 30° (Rounded off to nearest ten)

    10^0.63 = x

    x=4.27 to the nearest hundredth

    hope this helps
