The illustration depicts the formation of an ionic chemical bond between lithium and fluorine atoms. Why is the resulting compound more stable than the individual atoms?
A)
The shared electron from Lithium to fluorine provides each atom with a full
outer energy level.
B)
The shared electron from Lithium to fluorine provides each atom with an
empty outer energy level.
The transferred electron from lithium to fluorine provides each atom with a
full outer energy level
D)
The transferred electron from Lithium to fluorine provides each atom with
an empty outer energy level.

2positives of biotechnology: 1. plants have become more resistant to viruses and other communicable pests.2. with the of biotechnology, we have been able to produce better tasting fruits as well as vegetables.2 negatives of biotechnology: 1. biotechnology poses a number of environmental threats. genetically modifies crops often infect monarch butterflies and other insect species.2. viruses could combine with crops.

The correct answer would be C) The transferred electron from lithium to fluorine provides each atom with a full outer energy level.

You can see that the one extra electron from Lithium is being transferred to the Fluorine atom.

There can only be 2 electrons in the first shell and 8 in every other one so in order to be a more stable atom Lithium is giving its extra electron to Fluorine.
