    The skating rink rented 872 pairs of skates during april and may.why? : if the skating rink rented three times the pair of skates in april during may, they rented 654 skates. 218 x 3 = 654then, if they want to know how many they rented during both april and may, then you just add 654 (may) and 218 (april) to give you 872 pairs of skates for both months.654 + 218 = 872hope this !

    The two page numbers are 111,112.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given : The page numbers showing on an open book are consecutive integers with a sum of 223.

    To find : The two page numbers  ?

    Solution :

    Let the two consecutive integers showing the page numbers be 'n' and 'n+1'.

    The page numbers showing on an open book are consecutive integers with a sum of 223.

    i.e. [tex]n+n+1=223[/tex]

    [tex]2n=223-1[/tex]

    [tex]2n=222[/tex]

    [tex]n=\frac{222}{2}[/tex]

    [tex]n=111[/tex]

    Now, n+1=111+1=112

    Therefore, the two page numbers are 111,112.
