    7/24

    Step-by-step explanation:

    3/8 is changed to 9/24 people lifting weights

    1/3 is changed to 8/24 people cross training

    17/24 people are not running

    7/24 people are running

    7/24 cannot be reduced

    Option A is correct .i.e., \frac{7}{24}

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Fraction of people lifted weight = 3/8

    Fraction of people lifted weight = 1/3

    We have to find fraction of people running

    Total fraction of people = 36/36

    Fraction of people running

    =\frac{36}{36}-(\frac{3}{8}+\frac{1}{3})

    =\frac{36}{36}-(\frac{9}{24}+\frac{8}{8})

    =\frac{36}{36}-\frac{17}{24}

    =\frac{72}{72}-\frac{51}{72}

    =\frac{21}{72}

    =\frac{7}{24}

    Therefore, Option A is correct .i.e., \frac{7}{24}
