    we know that

    In the right triangle ABC

    ∠[tex]A+[/tex]∠[tex]B=90[/tex] ------> by complementary angles

    so

    Step [tex]1[/tex]

Find the measure of angle B

    we know that

    [tex]tan\ B=\frac{opposite\ side\ angle\ B}{adjacent\ side\ angle\ B}[/tex]

    in this problem

    [tex]opposite\ side\ angle\ B=7in\\ adjacent\ side\ angle\ B=5in[/tex]

    so

    [tex]tan\ B=\frac{7}{5} \\ \\ B=arc\ tan\frac{7}{5} \\ \\ B=54.5\ degrees[/tex]

    Step [tex]2[/tex]

Find the measure of angle A

    [tex]A+B=90\\ A=90-B\\ A=90-54.5\\ A=35.5\ degrees[/tex]

    therefore

    the answer is the option

    35.5° and 54.5°

    C) 35.5 and 54.5 is the answer.  I solved it on paper to check the steps by steps.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    [tex]Triangle A B C is shown. Angle B C A is a right angle. The length of C B is 5 inches and the length[/tex]
