    The answer is B. Divide it into separate states.

    The French wanted revenge and desired security against any potential future German aggression. Georges Clemenceau, the premier of France, had believed that the French people had suffered the most from the German aggression during the war.

    At Versailles, the French wanted for Germany to be divided into separate states - b, which would effectively lower the probability of Germany ever again becoming so strong and causing such damage to the European continent ever again. Sadly this wasn't the case with the treaty of Versailles.

    10.) D. The United States was still at war with France.

    11.) I believe the answer is B. Herbert Hoover, but i'm not 100% sure. 

    12.) D. to encourage women to work in making material for the war 

    13.) I honestly don't know what the answer is to this.

    That's too many questions in one post.  you should separate your questions.  i'll respond to just the first few, which are a related set.

    what was world war i referred to as first?   the great war

    who was the president of the united states during world war i?   woodrow wilson

    what was his campaign slogan? he has kept us out of war

    tell me what the acronym main stands for. militarism, alliances, imperialism, nationalism -- these were underlying causes for the war

    where was the powder keg of europe located at? in the balkans

    why was this area referred to as the powder keg? there was much striving by different ethnic nationalities for independence from control by other powers

    how was world war i set off?     the archduke of austria and his wife were assassinated by radical serbian nationalists in sarajevo.
