    C). Logical.

    Explanation:

The chief aim of an author is to persuade or convince his audience to believe in the claims proposed by him/her. To persuade the audience, a number of appeals or 'modes of persuasion'(as Aristotle stated') like pathos(emotional appeal), ethos(ethical appeal), or logos('logical appeal').

Mary Wollstonecraft's 'A Vindication of the Rights of Women' is one of the acknowledged feminist work that aims to highlight the position of women in the society and demanded equal educational, social, and moral rights for them.

As per the question, these lines 'when the shortrespectable'(assumed) employs logical appeal to demand the women's rights logically by questioning the 'rationality' and asking them to reflect their rationality(in providing the rights to women) and become more 'masculine and respectable'. Thus, option C is the correct answer.

    She uses an emotional appeal.

    Explanation:

“On Making an Agreeable Marriage” is a title given to Jane Austen's letters to her niece, Fanny. In these writings, Austen discusses the subject of marriage, and loveless marriage in particular. She writes that "Anything is to be preferred or endured rather than marrying without affection."As her niece is very young, Austen attempts to give her love advice. In doing so, she uses an emotional appeal. An emotional appeal is an attempt to persuade other person to adopt the same opinion that we have by getting an emotional reaction from them.

The correct answer is: Option C. Pathos because it appeals to our feelings of patriotism .

The popular poster for the army enlisting propaganda during WW1 depicted an image of a man wearing an outfit decorated with the colors of the national flag, and had the aforementioned man pointing towards the viewer.

This kind of depiction was meant to appeal to the viewer's sense of patriotism, which can also be interpreted as appealing to someone's feelings. This is the objective of the persuasive appeal Pathos.

In the first stanza of "The Chimney Sweeper" by William Blake we know that the speaker got his job because he is sold to his employer by his father.

The type of persuasive appeal Jane Austen uses in the passage of "On Making an Agreeable Marriage" is emotional.

The human sound the assonance between "fast" and "pants" echoes in these lines from "Kubla Kahn" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge is the murmuring sound of people talking in low voices.

In William Blake's "The Lamb", the word best describes the relationship between the child and the lam is harmonious.

In this passage from "On Making an Agreeable Marriage" by Jane Austen, Jane Austen worries that Fanny will ignore her good advice.

Dialect is an effective way to address lofty topics.

The word that best describes Mary Shelley's first attempts to find an idea for a ghost story is fruitless.

    Ethical

    Explanation:

An appeal to ethos refers to an appeal to credibility. This means that an author tries to gather support for his or her argument based on the fact that he or she is knowledgeable in the subject. In this example, Wollstonecraft wants to demonstrate that she has authority to talk about the subject because of her knowledge. She proves this by talking about the many different books she has read about education.
