Option: A- Germany had to surrender Poland, Belgium, and Denmark.

D- Germany had to limit the size of its military forces.

    Explanation:

Treaty of Versailles was signed to end World War I in 1919. Under this treaty, German was humiliated and not called in the negotiation before signing the treaty. The treaty imposed on Germany with terms and conditions. The German military capabilities harshly restricted with minimum arms and ammunition and no airships. Germans were forced to pay off very large reparations to the allies. The treaty also required the surrender of territory which had been part of Germany before the war.

    These are the details..
    1) Germany was outright and unfairly blamed on starting and fueling the war though all the countries fought as much as they were capable.
    2) France had its revenge from Austrian Hungary Empire (Now Germany , Austria , Italy , Prussia ) against its defeat in the Prussian War in 1871. Moreover it received back its territories of Alsace and Lorraine which were with Germany.
    3) France occupied Germany industrial areas and forced them to pay huge sums of money in return.
    4) Germany was not allowed to keep an army of its own it only had a peace keeping army of 100,000.
    5) German colonies in Africa China and the Pacific Ocean were taken over by the victorious nations.
    6) The state of Poland was reinstated and East Germany was separated from Western Germany to provide Poland a Sea access( Polish Corridor)
    7) League of Nations was established on the insistence of US President Wilson.
    8) Ottoman Empire broke up and France controlled Lebanon and Syria while Britain controlled Transjordan, Egypt , Iraq and Palestine (British allowed Jews to settle in that area and that is why its so troubled today)
    9) Austrian Empire was broken up and three countries were established Czechoslovakia , Yugoslavia , Hungary. Together with these and the Baltic states and Poland these protected Western Europe from spreading Communism from Russia into the West.
    10) The Statesmen thought that they were preventing future wars but indirectly they were sowing seeds for another War ( World War II).
