  2. I think the answer is: for celebrations 

    Many of Egyptian's ancient building was created  for religious celebrations or simply for artworks.
    The spynx for example, was created as a part of tombs and temples that were used for important celebrations. The Pharaoh also use Tomb art as a celebration of death to wish the deceased good luck in the after world.

  3. Some pharaohs put art in their tombs to guide them in the afterlife. I know they used clay models and stuff like that to represent things in the afterlife but that's all I know. Hope this was helpful.
