    A board is 5 inches long. The division sentence shows that when the board is cut into   inch pieces, each piece will be will be   inches long.

    When you split the fraction [tex]2\frac{3}{8}[/tex] into 5 parts it will equal to [tex]11\frac{7}{8}[/tex].
