The sentence that includes an abstract noun in its context is "Mr. Lyons could not contain his glee."

    Explanation:

Glee is an abstract noun. Abstract nouns are intangible things, like actions, feelings, ideas, concepts, and qualities, they can only be defined with the mind, not the body. The definition of glee as a human quality or characteristic is joy or happiness, then this sentence is using an abstract noun to describe a quality of happiness in Mr.Lyons.

An abstract noun is something that isn't tangible or anything you can touch. Mainly it is talking about emotions. Based on that I would say it would be B. It says hoped which is an emotion

An abstract noun is something that you cannot touch, but you can imagine, and you know what it is. For example: love, happiness, hatred, etc.
Having this in mind, the sentence that includes an abstract noun is B. Standing on third base, Gene could not believe his luck.
    Luck is the abstract noun.
