Why was it hard for many immigrants to find jobs in the United States in the late 1800s? A) They had specific training that was not useful in the US job market.     The reason why it was hard for immigrants to find jobs in the United States in the late 1800s was that they were commonly discriminated against by potential employers.

    By the late 1800s, the number of immigrants in the United States increased. People from China, Ireland, and Germany arrived during the Civil War, and after this, people from Italy and England. Most of them had abilities to work in any specific areas but was hard for them to find decent jobs. The reason why it was hard for immigrants to find jobs in the United States in the late 1800s was that they were commonly discriminated against by potential employers.
