    Explanation:

    Emmett Till was a black man. His murders, Bryant and Milam, were white. This murder happened during the time where segregation was a huge issue. Actually, this case was at the beginning of the civil rights movement. During the trial, the jury consisted of only white males. They did not convict them and they were never brought to justice. They both died to cancer before the case was opened again in 2004 by the U.S. Justice Department. I hope this helped you. Also, you should read up on this case more. It is very fascinating.
